What is Mini Mori?

Mini Mori is a hand pixelated collection of skull NFTs created by Sam Duffy.

In the 1990s, the internet was supposed to be a democratic and open community designed to be a bastion of freethinking and endless creativity, but by 2004 the dream withered with the rise of corporate internet.

And yet, via blockchain, we've reestablished the desire for an online experience with rules, currency, ownership, and a public forum.

Pixel art was the style of the 1980s and 1990s when the internet, gaming, and processing capability was a fraction of what we have today. Nevertheless, the art from 16, 32, 64, and 128 bit era inspired generations of creators, and me.

Mini Mori stands as a reminder of the dream of the 1990s internet, of the creators who persevered despite the limitations of the time, and of the new blockchain pioneers who brought back a concept I had foolishly thought dead. I’m starting off pricing at 0.01 ETH because I want to meet as many other pioneers as possible. Being liquid is good, being part of a movement is better.

How can I buy a Mini Mori?

1) Get Coinbase and buy as much ETH as you feel comfortable

2) Get Metamask and transfer ETH (at least 0.01) to Metamask from Coinbase

3) Create a OpenSea account, connect it Metamask and purchase from here.

4) Once you've made your purchase it can be found in your Metamask account.

What is blockchain?

Ok...so imagine that you have a computer. One computer. You type in 1+1 and the computer thinks...thinks...thinks and spits out =2. It took that one computer processing power to compute that single problem. Ok now think about if you typed in 1+1+1. That's a slightly longer equation so the computer would take a slightly longer time to compute the problem then give you =3. However, what happens when you need to solve a much more difficult problem like (4*5)+(5/3)^2 ? That same computer would take an extremely long time to process the equation. So, you can either get a more powerful computer to compute the problem, or you could link up two computers and combine their processing power to answer the equation. Blockchain in essence is the linking of computers and having the computers that are linked together share processing power. Through this connection we can: solve difficult equations and process complex simulations; have a shared online currency; and buy and sell digital items with clear and open boundaries. Hope that kinda explains Blockchain.

What is an NFT?

A Non-Fungible Token is a unique digital file which is protected via the blockchain. Everyone in the blockchain agrees that said item belongs to individual X either due to creation and/or sale of said item.
